Jets-Munt
Merlin 160

Engine Key features:
-Internal Kerostart
-Engine
design optimised using CAD and CFD (Computational fluid
dynamics) software that allows each part to be optimised
for best performance
-CNC
Machined custom compressor
-170N
at moderate rotor speed
-Low
EGT due to high efficient design. Typically below 650ºC
-Low
rotor speed, longer bearing life
-Low
weight and size. 37lbs in a Kj66/RAM750 size and weight
-New
bearing system that allows the use of 2T motorcycle oil
-Very
low acceleration time
-Low
cost, but not low quality. We are the manufacturers of the
parts, including the electronics, so we get the parts at
cost price, and we are owners of the 100% of the design
and technology. We don’t pay fees to designers. All
these savings are applied to the final price
-Winner
of the Gas Turbines Builders Association annual efficiency
competition. G.T.B.A. Staff measured 18,4Kg (40,5lb) at
120.000RPM at 8ºC ambient temperature. (Engines sold
are limited to 118.000 rpm)
Service:
